Clinical use: This score can be used to estimate the probability of curative surgery in perihilar choangiocarcinoma based on 13 variables.

Patients need to be pre-operatively staged according to the new staging system for pCCA published by DeOliveira and colleagues. The necessary diagnostic procedures are EUS and CT. The following information must be obtained: T-Stage, N-Stage, M-Stage, Involvement of the bile ducts (B-Stage), involvement of the portal vein (PV-Stage) involvement of the hepatic artery (HA-Stage) and the estimation of the liver remnant volume by CT scan (V stage).

The thirteen predictors together have a strong AUC: 0.786; 95% CI 0.679–0.892, p < 0.0001
